Love

Love has been something we have sought since our very first breath in this life. We felt the warmth of her arms, of the chest, and in that we found calm. Love takes so many forms, expressions, and expectations. In essence, it is stillness, a feeling that comes from a space where you feel safe, whether receiving or giving.

Love means looking into your eyes and telling you that I cannot… that sometimes I will not meet your expectations. Love means forgiveness, not because I cannot live without you, but because I chose you and now I understand why. Love also means offering you a part of myself, with generosity, not expectation.

Love means choosing not to hurt back, even when you are hurting. It means seeing this moment as something that will heal tomorrow, something that prepares you for a new path you once did not have the courage to look toward.

Love means trust—that you can embrace your choices, that you can be wrong, and that you can not know. When you stand in love with yourself, you are gentle with your wounds and soothe them with the joy that tomorrow you will be stronger, wiser, and more fluid with life. Love is in everything and in all things. Even when we try to love less, we are still loving. The universe smiles at you, and you recognize the meaning in its playful messages—through synchronicities and through the people placed on your path to support or to challenge you.

Simply loving the path you are on means loving life. It is the warmth of life when we breathe, when we embrace ourselves and others. Open your arms to receive—and you will feel love.
